Gentle Baby Lotions for Your Little One's Delicate Skin

Taking care of your baby’s gentle skin isn’t a one-step process. After you’ve figured out the best baby shampoo and body wash that will clean without stripping away their natural oils while keeping their skin moisturized, you’ll need to follow it up with a rich baby lotion to lock in that moisture. Not all baby lotions are made the same, though, so it’s important to look at the ingredients and what type of skin concerns the formula may be best for.

When you’re picking out the best baby lotion to keep your little one’s smooth skin even softer, it’s important to look at the ingredients before you do anything. If your baby has any skin concerns that you want to target or simply be mindful of, such as eczema, you’ll want a formula that will help take care of that. Other things to consider include mild formulas that are safe for daily use, natural and organic ingredients, and ones for sensitive skin. Ahead, we’ve rounded up the best baby lotions to ensure they have soft and supple skin that you won’t be able to resist.

1. Aveeno Baby Lotion

If your little one needs a bit more attention, then this eczema-targeted formula will help soothe their extra delicate skin. This baby lotion goes the extra step to relieve eczema with natural colloidal oatmeal, which prevents dry skin from popping up again by providing intense moisture to keep things under control. By keeping skin hydrated, it helps eliminate itching and irritation cause by eczema, so they’ll be happier too (and should prevent tears). This formula is fragrance-free, so you can ensure it won’t add more irritation to their already delicate skin.

2. Cetaphil Daily Lotion

Babies need a lot more TLC when it comes to everything, especially their skin. This mild baby lotion is safe enough to use daily so you’ll never have to worry about it stripping away their skin’s natural moisture if used on the regular. This tear-free formula is made with organic calendula, which rinses clean while leaving a soft, fresh scent that isn’t too overbearing. It’s also hypoallergenic, paraben-free, and colorant-free, so you can have peace of mind that this lotion is safe for their fragile skin.

3. Baby Dove Lotion

When it comes to baby lotions, you can never be too mild. This gentle baby lotion is safe enough to use daily, so when messes happen, you don’t have to worry if you’re over-washing them or harming their delicate skin. Best of all, this formula boasts a light fragrance that you both will love — and it’s safe for them. This rich lotion will keep their skin locked with moisture for 24 hours thanks to skin-natural ingredients that are made without dyes or parabens. If your little one has extra delicate skin, this sensitive skin solution is your best bet.

Tom Brady and Gisele’s Son Benjamin Crashes Their TikTok Couples Challenge

Family fun! Gisele Bündchen joined TikTok to participate in the viral couples challenge with Tom Brady — and they had a little help from their son, Benjamin.

The supermodel, 39, and the newly minted Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, 42, cuddled on an outdoor couch as the 10-year-old hid behind them in the Tuesday, May 26, upload. With their eyes closed, the couple answered a series of questions about their relationship simply by pointing at each other.

Bündchen and Brady disagreed on the first question, saying the other person is typically the first to apologize after a fight. They concurred that the Brazil native is “the funny one,” although Benjamin voted for his dad. However, the trio were on the same page for many of the queries, including Brady being “more patient” and “more spoiled” and Bündchen eating more and being the “better singer.” They also agreed that the NFL star “works out more,” “requires more attention,” “spends the most money” and “has more clothes,” the latter of which made his wife crack up.

Surprisingly, the pair could not come to a consensus on who said “I love you” first (Brady said Bündchen and vice versa) or “who drives better” (they each voted for themselves). As for “who is never wrong,” they both pointed at the Lessons author while Benjamin popped up from behind the couch and said himself.

The athlete and Bündchen started dating in 2006 after being set up on a blind date by a mutual friend. They tied the knot in Santa Monica in February 2009 and went on to welcome Benjamin that December and daughter Vivian, now 7, three years later. Brady also shares son Jack, 12, with his ex Bridget Moynahan.

A source told Us Weekly exclusively earlier this month that the coronavirus pandemic has forced the Brady-Bündchen family to make major adjustments like the rest of the world.

“With the quarantine, it’s a challenge for them like any other parents trying to stick to a normal routine in the household,” the source said. “But this added time together is such a gift. They’re making the most of it during the off-season and prioritizing family time before training really kicks into high gear for Tom.”

A second insider explained that “clear, current communication” has helped bring Brady and Bündchen “even closer over the years by being open and honest with one another and by committing to each other and prioritizing their family.”

Here’s what you’ll need to do to enter an Apple store now

Apple began shutting down their stores in March after growing fear about the spread of COVID-19. The closures were meant to only last for two weeks, but by the end of March, Apple had shut its store doors indefinitely (via CNET.com). At the time, Apple CEO Tim Cook tweeted, “In our workplaces and communities, we must do all we can to prevent the spread of COVID-19.” The technology giant has just over 500 stores globally.

In a recent statement from Apple, the company announced that it would start to reopen just under 100 of its locations worldwide. In the United States, Apple plans to open 25 stores across seven states as safety protocols ease in various locations. The U.S. Apple locations that plan to reopen include Florida, California, Washington, Hawaii, Oklahoma, and Colorado (via CNET.com). Despite reopening, Apple is implementing strict precautions for both customers and employees. So what will you have to do to get into an Apple store?

Face coverings, temperature checks, and basic screening will be required at Apple

Several U.S. states are reopening at different paces and each state has its own regulations about what is required by its residents in public. Apple, however, is implementing its own rigid set of requirements for customers and the employees once its stores begin to reopen. In the letter posted to the Apple site, retail head Deirdre O’Brien said, “Face coverings will be required for all of our teams and customers and we will provide them to customers who don’t bring their own. Temperature checks will be conducted at the door and posted health questions will screen for those with symptoms — like cough or fever — or who have had recent exposure to someone infected with COVID‑19.”

The stores are also planning to do “enhanced deep cleanings” throughout the day with extra care on commonly touched surfaces. As another added precaution, the stores will have limited occupancy.

In the meantime, you are still able to get Apple products serviced through their online programs if there isn’t an open store near you.

'Bachelor' Baby Bump! See Bekah Martinez's 2nd Pregnancy Pics

Round two! Bekah Martinez announced in November 2019 that she is pregnant with her second child and has been posting baby bump pictures ever since.

“Thankful,” the Bachelor alum captioned her Instagram announcement, featuring herself, her boyfriend, Grayston Leonard, their daughter, Ruth, and an ultrasound picture.

The pregnancy news came nine months after the former reality star gave birth to her first child. When she found out that she was expecting another, Martinez couldn’t believe it, she revealed in a November episode of her and Jess Ambrose’s “Chatty Broads” podcast.

“I was two weeks late on my period,” the California native explained at the time. “Granted, I’ve only had two periods since Ruth was born, so when I missed my period I thought, ‘OK, my hormones are probably still shifting.’ … About two weeks after, I was like, ‘Well I do have a test here in the house.’ It was in the morning and Gray was in the bed with Ruth and I didn’t say anything. I was like, ‘I’ll take it. Why not?’”

When the former ABC personality saw the pregnancy test’s double lines “so red and so there,” her “body was almost convulsing” and she shook “so hard … in utter shock and disbelief.”

The University of California Irvine student went on to say that her second baby is due in June. “If I have a little girl, the sisters will be only 16 months apart,” Martinez said. “My sister and I are only two years apart [and] it’s a blast. And if it’s a little boy, how fun because we haven’t had a little boy yet.”

When the pregnant star first heard her baby-to-be’s heartbeat in December, her daughter was with her. “There’s something a little nervewracking for me waiting for that doppler to catch the heartbeat every time,” she captioned footage at the time. “This was the first time I’ve heard it this pregnancy; glad I got to share the moment with my little family.”

Angelina Jolie Honors Her Mom's 'Spirit' in Mother's Day Tribute

Never forgotten. Angelina Jolie paid tribute to her late mother Marcheline Bertrand’s “spirit” in a special Mother’s Day op-ed for the New York Times.

“I lost my mother in my thirties,” the Girl, Interrupted star, 44, wrote in the piece which was published on Saturday, May 9. “When I look back to that time, I can see how much her death changed me. It was not sudden, but so much shifted inside. Losing a mother’s love and warm, soft embrace is like having someone rip away a protective blanket.”

Bertrand died in 2007 at the age of 56 after a battle with ovarian and breast cancer.

Jolie later detailed how her mother’s split from the star’s father, actor Jon Voight, shifted her original life goals. Bertrand and Voight, 81, were married from 1971 to 1980.

“When my father had an affair, it changed her life. It set her dream of family life ablaze,” she wrote. “But she still loved being a mother. Her dreams of being an actor faded as she found herself, at the age of 26, raising two children with a famous ex who would cast a long shadow on her life.”

The Maleficent actress recalled that Bertrand used to sing the song “Winter” by the Rolling Stones in the wake of her split from Voight. Jolie explained that she realized her mother was afraid during that period of time but kept it together for the sake of her children. The Academy Award nominee decided to get a tattoo of the letter “W” on her right hand to honor her mother’s memory.

She added that looking at the tattoo helped her during a period of her “own loss.”

“As the ‘W’ faded on my hand, so did that feeling of home and protection. Life has taken many turns. I’ve had my own loss and seen my life take a different direction. And it hurt more than I imagined it ever would,” she penned.

Jolie separated from her estranged husband, Brad Pitt, in September 2016 after two years of marriage. The pair began dating in 2004 after meeting on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith. They are the parents of Maddox, 18, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 13, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 11.

The Tourist star revealed in April that she “never thought I could be anyone’s mom” in a candid post for Time magazine’s Parents newsletter.

“I remember the decision to become a parent,” Jolie wrote at the time. “It wasn’t hard to love. It wasn’t hard to dedicate myself to someone and something greater than my life. What was hard was knowing that from now on I needed to be the one to make sure everything was OK. To manage it and make it work. From food to school to medical. Whatever would come. And to be patient.”

Watch Elon Musk Cringe While Trying to Pronounce His Son's Unique Name

Elon Musk and Grimes definitely gave their child the most unique name of the year — but the couple seems to have different ideas of how to pronounce X Æ A-12.

The 48-year-old Tesla CEO returned to the “Joe Rogan Experience” podcast on Thursday, May 7, and dished on the details of becoming a new father. When host Joe Rogan asked how one would actually say X Æ A-12 — and whether or not it was just a placeholder — Musk appeared a little uncomfortable while trying to explain the bizarre moniker.

“First of all, my partner is the one who, mostly, actually came up with the name,” the South African entrepreneur admitted. “I mean it’s just X, the letter X. And then the Æ is pronounced like ‘ash.’”

Before owning up to the A-12 being his “contribution,” Musk looked visibly embarrassed by the explanation as Rogan laughed at the outlandish name. The second half of the name, according to the tech mogul, refers to the Archangel 12, which the billionaire described as “the coolest plane ever.”

While Musk’s explanation may have answered a lot of questions for curious fans, Grimes, 32, had a different pronunciation in mind for their little one. The “Genesis” singer took to Instagram on Wednesday, May 6, to celebrate her Vogue Italy cover and give her followers an update on how she was feeling post-birth. When one user asked Grimes how she would say her son’s name, the Canadian musician (real name Claire Elise Boucher) kept her reply brief and to the point.

“It’s just X, like the letter X,” she answered. “Then A.I. Like how you said the letter A then I.”

The creative couple, who went public with their relationship at the Met Gala in May 2018, revealed that they were expecting their first child together in January. Though the pair both have a special connection to their son’s chosen name, they might be required to change it due to regulations put in place by the state of California. According to the state’s constitution, names can only use the 26 letters of the English alphabet. Other symbols are strictly forbidden, unless in the case of a hyphenated last name or an apostrophe.
